This post is for that stupid, rude, ignorant witch

At school today, Micole was talking to a teacher about Cooper's website. Suddenly another teacher, a real ray of sunshine as you will soon see, pops her nose into the conversation and says "You have a website for your baby? That's just sick!". Micole just wanted to give this ray of golden sunshine her middle finger and a few choice words. She would have, but there was a young student near by.

How ignorant can people be? How rude can people be? There seems to be no limit on either account for this ray of sunshine. Obviously this ray of sunshine, doesn't understand the concept of "if you don't have anything nice to say then you shouldn't say anything at all."

I can actually see how having a website for baby could be considered "sick". If you compare it to all of the porn, information on making bombs, information on how to create your own meth lab, and software to steal movies and music that can be found on the internet, I can understand how a baby's website would just be "sick". Please enlighten us further, oh golden ray of sunshine! These baby blogs certainly must be stopped before they destroy the social fabric of Western society!

Cooper, you and your website are sick and must be stopped at all costs!

There are many great reasons for having a website/blog for a baby. First of all, we have family and friends spread all over the United States. It's just an easy way to share pictures and keep family updated. Besides that there are myriad of reasons to have a baby blog, from sharing information and experiences about parenting with other baby bloggers, to one day being able to show the child how much they're loved, to just having a little creative outlet. Of course, that's all just "sick".

Oooooooooo, I know I would've had a few choice words for sunshine if I hadn't hauled off and slugged her first. Grrr. We've encountered a few ourselves, those grouches that share sunshine's mindset... (my mother in law thinks I'm crazy so feel my pain, but she's been diseased by the first grandchildren) and a few who work with or for my husband have though it strange that I post every day...but know others who are upset when I don't post till late in the day because they need their daily fix.
I say Micole makes a shirt w/Coopers picture on it & the website address with some cute saying...(I've often considered making buiness cards to hand out to those who stop to comment on my little cutie in public...ok, that may be going a bit far) At the very least, next time Cooper goes to visit Momy @ work...projectile pitup on Ms. merry sunshine :-D

Forget people like that. Is she a parent? If not, consider that she may be jealous...If she is, consider that she may be jealous that she didn't do that.

I'm not as mad about it as my wife is. I just wish ms. ray of sunshine would've said it on a day when I had nothing to write about.

People just don't get the beauty of the blogosphere. These are historical documents. These are our lives and I imagine someday in the future, historians or archaeologists may know more about us and the times we live in, just because of all of these little "sick" blogs. I think there is real value to future civilizations in getting the story directly from the people rather than a history book or a newspaper or television account. But what do I know? I'm "sick".

I know who you are talking about. And for theresa, yes, she is a parent. Not that it matters, because ignorance and witchiness is not exclusive of parental or non-parental status.

Anyway, people keep blogs for a number of reasons. What is the big whoop? I am glad that you have the blog up because I haven't been here in a while, and I missed a rare Cooper spotting the other day so I decided to check in. OH MY. GOODNESS. Micole! He looks just like you! The eyes!

And yay for Coopah for sitting up all on his own! Woot!

Micole sweety, consider the source.
